Topiaries have been around a long time and are a great way to express your individuality! Below is a selection of topiary frames for you to choose from. Traditionally, plants used in topiary include cultivars of box (Buxus sempervirens), arborvitae (Thuja spp.), bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), holly (Ilex spp.), myrtle (Eugenia or Myrtus species), yew (Taxus species), and privet (Ligustrum species). Of course you can use a small leaf ivy that growns fast to get one grown in a season! Or string mini lights through-out the frame for a fantastic nighttime accent piece!
Above is a corgi dog topiary I put together in an afternoon with white bacopa, and wooly thyme over the haunches. Alongside him is my sweet boy, Toby.
